The requisition

"No means NO!!"
"Baabo, you really don't understand the value of money. It is going to cost you at least 50K, you know. And what happened to your plans of buying an S2?
Start saving for your wedding. You know, a simple one will cost you at least 6 Lakhs. When will you earn that entire amount?
Sheesh!!
What about your future Baabo? I don't see you trying for a job switch. I am sure you haven't even uploaded your resume in naukri.com. Alwa?
Btw, when will you start preparing for your higher studies? You've applied for CAT. You bought all those books. But, I don't see you preparing at all. And now this?
Sheesh!!
And you know what happened with you the last time when you ventured out for something similar alwa? This one is much more adverse and challenging. I mean, look at you. You haven't been working out. You clearly don’t have the stamina. How will you cope up?"
"No means NO."

"But dad, this would probably be the last time I'd be doing something like this. If not now, I don’t think I’d ever be doing it again. Please dad, just one last time. I don’t know when I’d be meeting Shash again. And we have taken care of everything this time!! The budget won’t cross 30K, I promise."

"Hmm..Alright, but then, you won’t be buying an S2 this time. You better manage your money properly. Stop living such a lavish life. You aren't spending more than 30K this month. "

I had 2 choices with me. Buy a phone that would connect me to anyone, anywhere, anytime. Or venture out to a place which is completely disconnected from the civilization. The choice was easy.

"Ok dad."

"And am allowing you only on one more condition. No Bikes!!!!!!"

"Sure."

And that was the defining moment of what would culminate into the most adventurous 10 days of my life.

(To be continued...)
